BMW Concept M5

I dont like the look of it.

And I dont like the fact it has a turbo....... I also dislike the fact it no longer has a V10!

Style 313 wheels ming hard.

313's are nice wheels, certainly the nicest ones BMW do for the E92 with the possible exception of those 5 spoke ones.

Generally though BMW have largely made some quite awful wheels these last few years. I dislike almost all of them :(

Not sure what all the wheel hate is about. They're exactly like the F10 M Sport ones (351M), just black (and possible 1" bigger). I think they look great.

Rather have a Mondeo over this :p

All jokes aside, that is gorgeous. Love the F10 anyway but that just looks awesome. Looks like the offspring of an M3 and 5 series that have spent a little "alone time" together

Apparently, just like the E60, the yanks are the only ones who will have a manual :(

With autos what they are these days i really cant see the point in a manual, especially in something as big as that M5.

It's not an auto anyway, it's M-DCT which is a dual clutch gearbox and doesn't have a torque converter.

Does it have a function where you dont use the paddles or buttons whatever?

Yes it has an auto mode. If it's anything like SMG3 in the E60 it's not very good though! I never use it.

How are you finding the 550i, especially after coming from an X6..
What sort of fuel consumption are you getting?

I’m loving it. It didn’t take long to forget the high driving position with its visibility and it is great to be down on the road again and not have all that width. The car is very refined and can be real beast if you want it to. The power delivery is quite staggering and it just does not let up. Overtaking and pulling away is just effortless. Clocking 90 plus is easy and the head-up display is a life saver with its speed display. The engine note could be a little louder but I’m not complaining. I’m getting 20.1 mpg on a mix of roads and not much motorway which I’m pleased with. This happy bunny is going to have a smile on his face for a long time to come.
