So little of these type of threads about (/sarcasm)

Whadya think about this spec (it's gotta be small, ergo sugo build)

only thing i would change is the DVD drive to the sony 24x drive to save a little bit of money.

other than that, it all looks great. i assume you have checked that the graphics card fits in the case (its 275mm long, and i believe 115mm tall)

*edit*
maybe swap for this HDD: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-244-SE&groupid=701&catid=14&subcat=1955

its a lot cheaper, has a bigger cache, and is the same spin speed. i dont know what this 'green' rating does for performance though

Really need 2TB?

Aside from being massive it will be rather slow.

I'd swap it for a Seagate Barracuda 1TB tbh :p Half the price, faster.

EDIT: If you want to save some cash, could always go down the route of H61 :)

You not fancy an SSD in that build? As already said, that drive ain't exactly quick, but it'll be fine as storage :)

TBH I'd get a cheaper case, maybe even a monitor, and slap an SSD in there. Seriously, it's the one thing that will make your system fly. For a grand, you'd expect that! Even a 60G one will make all the difference!

Whoa, thanks guys, missed that one (in that I thought MITX fits in MATX) !
I'll change over the HDD as well, given that I dont really need storage at all - I have a NAS box for that. Not keen on a SSD as my can foresee my Steam folder being a biggy.

The Steam folder does not have to be on the ssd !

general speed of the pc is much better.....pc will feel smooth and much more responsive.
better performance upgrade than even the best of cpu's a must for any decent spec pc nowadays

Sorry to hijack. Can someone explain this a bit more please. Always thought you should put your games and OS on the fastest drives. Or is it that the OS being on the ssd would speed up access to the games even if they're on a much slower drive?

Thought about going Mini-ITX Go last gen and use the GA-H55N-USB3 with an i5. Might be slightly slower, but it's very small.

Nah, only way to speed up game loading times is pby putting them on the SSD.

But seeing as you barely even gain milliseconds it's hardly worth the investment, imo.

This was my thoughts too

yeap, I didn't think I'll gain any real world performance (in games I might add) from a SSD

The silversone does come with a decent PSU. So it's not that bad. Still expensive :)

BitFenix does the Survivor case. Relatively small, aimed at LAN gamers. It's a bit hard to get to the hardware.

I second a SSD, if you want a nippy OS and programs. It's a luxury, maybe over your budget.
