Want to pilot the Virgin Galactic Spaceship?

I'm suprised you need to be a Yank - there cannot be many with prior spaceflight and and fast jet experience, so I wouldnt imagine it would be hard to secure a Visa.

There is scope though as it does mention at the end that:

Very limited exceptions to the above may be considered for those with truly outstanding test flying or spaceflight experience.
 
A diverse flying background with a minimum of 3,000 hours flying to include considerable experience of: large multi-engine aircraft and high performance fast jet aircraft and low lift-to-drag ratio glide experience (e.g. simulated flameout landings) in complex aircraft

So pretty much ex-fighterpilot turned-commercial pilots then?
 
Chesley Sullenberger applies and it's game over. Fighter pilot check, glider pilot check, flameout landings check. Who needs a simulator anyway?
