Need advice and experience on a booklet iPad2 case - £30 budget.

Hi,

My beautiful yet so fragile iPad2 is in desperate need of a case to hopefully keep it a little more protected than it is at the moment.

I've had a look at the big iPad thread but have only been recommended sites that sell the cases, I'm looking for someone who can give me advice based on their experience with their case.

I'm really just looking for a quality booklet case (must flap over the screen) which covers the whole iPad, front and back.

Any advice, or pointers to websites would be a great help.

Not sure if its what you're after, but I'll be getting a sleeve to pop it in when not in use, as well as using the smart cover.

I've just ordered a TeckNet iPad 2 Folio Leather case from the rainforest as an 8 quid temporary solution until more choice is freely available (e.g. Pixelskin HD or Miniot wooden back cover). Feedback on rainforest suggests a good case for the money.

I'm still waiting I want a smart cover but with a back, thought I found one but it didn't have magnets in it(pixelskin hd) why cant it have magnets it would be perfect, anyone know of any. My cool banana hardcover carrying case should arrive tomorrow for proper transporting.

Its not as hard as i want, still not a bad case and will do until more cases are available, its still flexible and squashable. I want a totally rigid case for transportation.

Trouble is it protects against impact, but offers pretty much no protection against flex. Still impressive though.

Really need a folio case for it soon. Just can't make my mind up and I don't want to end up sending it back because it doesn't fit or is a poor quality build.

Not sure about "quality" but the TeckNet iPad 2 Folio Leather Case from the rainforest is a cheap, full cover case. It uses magnets to turn the pad off when the screen is covered (like the smart cover does) and the cover can fold back to provide either a decent TV watching angle or a nice typing angle. For the price, it's a complete bargain. Also, it makes the ipad look more like a leatherbound notebook so you don't have huge "I've got an ipad, please mug me" sign.

And no, I don't think you can fit a smart cover inside the folio case too.

$60 + $30 shipping + VAT + Duty + Handling = Expensive case

I just picked up a Griffin Elan Passport for £15 at a popular high street music store. They've reduced a lot of iPad cases, no doubt for the new stock of iPad 2 specific cases.
