Info required - 2010 BMW 320d M Sport

My cousin is looking at buying a 2010 BMW 320d M Sport to replace his Audi A4 S line 2.0 oil burner.

As he's a computer **** I said I'd ask here to see what the general running and service costs are like. He'll be doing around 20K a year.

Anything to look out for in these?

Its under warranty so it dont matter really does it

Pretty sure i remember someone (probably Fox) saying the modern bmws being a little optimistic with regards to MPG

They are - reckon on getting the combined figure on a Motorway run and you'll be fine. Most of these have a Service pack on meaning no servicing costs until it's 5 years old. The tyres are expensive but thats about it really if its under warranty and has a service pack.

They do depreciate heavily, mind.

I thought 320d's held there value quite well (compared to M3's and 335i's)

A '10 plate is worth about £24k retail with average mileage, an '07 of average mileage would trade in for £12875.

So you could expect it to dump half its value over 3 years pretty much.
