Hey all,

To Polarise or not - That is the question :)

I have found the sunglasses that I want - they come in the following specs (no pun intended :p):

Crystal Green

Polarised Crystal Grey

What are your thoughts? Will I be disappointed if I don't have them Polarised? (They are about £40 more expensive Polarised :()

Thanks,

Marky

I've got polarised lenses on mine. The only thing I've noticed is that they seem to filter out certain colours on LCD displays on iPhone etc. The radio screen on my car becomes completely invisible with them on which is annoying as I bought them mainly for driving!

The actual clarity of the lens is outstanding however.

They cut out glare from the sunlight when it bounces off ground based reflective items enabling you to still see clearly. (your pupils stay dilated)

Most useful for me on the boat looking for a suitable diving spot.
Also really good when skiing.

Get a screen protector that polarises the light from the device, you'll then be able to see it normally with/without the glasses.

Well it varies. i.e: my father would say he buys Polarised glasses as it prevents headaches.

If that isn't the case, then whatever you prefer.

Personally I buy Polarised glasses.

I get headaches from non polarised glasses too

on the other side my brother cannot see the heads up disply in his car if he wears polarised

I got the impression that your brothers vision is impaired whilst wearing them?

He can't see the heads up display, the projection of the instruments onto the windscreen, everything else is fine

must be that the HU uses the opposite polorisation to his glasses

This may sound like a dumb question Marky, but how do you know they'll even suit you unless you try them on?

I personally find that non-polarised glass darken everything, which doesnt aid if the sky is brighter than the road for example. Polarised mainly darken the sky, which means i can still see but the sky isn't blinding me.
