Hi

I have an problem with my i-trigue 3400 volume control, the volume is fluctuating wildly when set on low levels. I think the route cause is the B50K potentiometer in the volume controller. I need to solder it off and have a closer look. If any one have an old controller or plan on selling just that part them please get in touch. I have found plenty 3 legged B50K potentiometers but this one is 5 legged.

Cheers

Does the pot look like in this pix?
This type of pot is a bit hard to get a hold off here in the UK but this is very common in the far east.
Try to clean the pot with a contact cleaner and apply a drop of light oil spread the oil by moving the slider back and forth, johnson's baby oil will do.

It doesn't look exactly the same. 3 legs come out the front, then there are another 2 legs coming out at 90 degrees on the side, I haven't found any matches on the internet yet. It's for my dads computer and he doesn't have a soldering iron. I will see if I can pick up a cheap one today (although cheap one's are normally rubbish). There is no way to clean it unless I take it off, although there is a good chance I can fix it once I do get it off. I can take a pic, give it to one of my apprentices at work as a project to source the part!

You really dont need an exact replacement as long as the part fits the enclosure properly and just jumper the connections to the pcb.
