As I'm fairly regular on here, I have picked up on some of our in-jokes and understand most of them. I'm interested to know if they are our own traditions from OcUK or if they came from memes? The 9 examples I've picked up are:

1. Worst "I need to get laid" thread ever or Worst... [insert something] thread ever, usually related to the OP.

2. In before the lock. - normally posted on a contraversial thread before a Don locks it.

3. clap.jpg, jesus.jpg etc - instead of saying congrats (or an action word), they put e.g. clap.jpg as if it's a filename.

4. Smash that pasty. - meaning to have sex, seems to be written on here a lot.

5. Quoting someone, then modifying it and writing fixed underneath it.

6. This thread needs hovis. - I'm not sure what this means.

7. Thread delivers. - usually when a thread becomes comical.

8. People who write This and +1 - to concur with the previous poster.

9. Spec me... - probably came from our hardware forums (spec me a new PC), but has also made its way over here.

Then we have facepalm and the thing where they write 1. do something, 2. ?????, 3. Profit, but I'm pretty sure that they're memes as they also appear on Dramatica a lot.

6. This thread needs hovis. - I'm not sure what this means.
Hovis/bread was often used in Motors to 'prove' ownership of a car, often people who come into the forums claiming to have cars they didnt. Im not totally sure if that was the first use of Hovis on OCUK but its where I remember it starting. Probably around the time of the 'portable sun' thread in Motors.

In before the lock has been around on many a forum, I think the first place I saw it was on the world of warcraft forums :p

IIRC This thread needs hovis was something to do with the motors forum, where someone posted a picture of a loaf of bread on top of a car or something..

10, posting in an epic thread ! (speaks for itself usually involves the topic starter becoming a big fail, like the stalker coin will be worth something one day ,yet its an unofficial fan made coin lol )

Nicked from the Comic Book Guy in the Simpsons:

"Worst. Episode. Ever!"

Seen on message boards everywhere. Forever.

3. clap.jpg, jesus.jpg etc - instead of saying congrats (or an action word), they put e.g. clap.jpg as if it's a filename.
People used to post images. People got lazy [or posting the image became bannable like peado bear]. Seen on other forums.

4. Smash that pasty. - meaning to have sex, seems to be written on here a lot.
Only ever seen this on OcUK.

5. Quoting someone, then modifying it and writing fixed underneath it.

When posting a picture people demand a loaf of bread, usually hovis, to prove the picture is genuine. Born of a thread on here long ago I believe.

7. Thread delivers. - usually when a thread becomes comical.

I would say you were correct.
