Hi folks,

I got one of these a few days ago, and while it's a fantastic card and (so far) completely stable, there is a bit of buzzing when I'm doing anything graphically intensive, such as playing games.

I read in another thread that it's the capacitors (is that right?) but it wasn't mentioned whether it was a problem. It's a little bit annoying, but the card is great, and after hearing the problems others are having I'm reluctant to return it if it isn't a big deal.

Is there anything I can do? Will it go away in time? Should I RMA it under DSR while I still can? Apart from the buzzing I absolutely love this card :D

Thanks in advance.

Not much you can do and keep it under warranty.

I would DSR it to be honest if the noise is noticeable.

I don't think any card should buzz or whine at any kind of load. If it does then it's just not good enough.

I thought I'd struck lucky as well :(

I'm going away on Monday for a couple of weeks, so if I sent this back tomorrow and asked for a refund, how long would it take? They can test the card all they like after I've got the money back, but I need this dealing with a.s.a.p. Will they test the card if I return it under DSR?

I just tried it again. Alt + Tabbing in and out of Dragon Age Origins. The buzzing starts in-game and stops when I come out of it. Doesn't seem to do it in the menus though, which I find odd

Definite RMA then? :(

not RMA - DSR!
They will test it but only to make sure you haven't done something stupid like take the cooler of and duct tape a case fan onto it. As long as the card is in perfect condition, they shouldn't say anything.refunds take 3-5 working days. The card should arrive on Monday, so you should have the money by Friday.

MAKE SURE YOU RETURN UNDER DSR!!!

OK. I need to submit the return in writing. Might be a stupid question, but do I send it to an e-mail address, or can I use the web note system, in which case, which form do I need? RMA or order enquiry look the most likely candidates :D
