2011 GT3-RS Sold. Can you guess what's replacing it?

your use of smileys comes across as gloating

I think we would all be a little 'more excited than a 4 year old at xmas' tbh. 99% of the guys posts are far from gloating about what he has, so we can let him off here :p

Long night so I'll post up more later but it was a great event.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to a very exclusive unveiling, one of only 30 invited guests so I got to spend a lot of time with the car. Unfortunately the certificate didn't arrive in time so no-one was able to "legally" drive the car but I have an invitation to take it on an extended test drive (take home) in June :D

A couple of pics, including the "base" model which is what you get without any option boxes ticked ;)

The carpet!!
My eyes!!

I like the chassis only. Do you think they'll stick a couple of wings on that and sell it as a trackday special? :D

Loving the Ford EHPAS pump, that thing gets everywhere!

Great how that have had that on display aswell, shows the hydralic lines for the active anti roll system. Epic package

On a similar note of in the flesh..... An Aston Martin One-77 drove past me yesterday on its way to the test track. WOW, pictures do not do that batmachine thing justice.

There was one at work recently and I found it rather underwhelming - but no doubt it's a very quick piece of kit.

OT but a relative of someone I know ended up buying a 458 after finding the McLaren a complete let down at a similar private launch event, having being a 3-times former Ferrari owner and identified by McLaren as a potential customer. Things that put him off were poor fit and finish, broken or inoperative switchgear, and a dull engine note. It struck him as simply not being special, or well-built, enough to justify its price tag.

What did you think of it? I didn't think the build quality looked too bad in real life but I did find the car itself somewhat underwhelming, given what they're asking for it.
