Am I crazy to want more?

there is no problem. what was it in the end anyway, some interesting guesses? someone thought it was a fiat panda until the figure of £150k was revealed. lolz.

Well it certainly wasn't me who spent £150k on a car! I wouldn't spend that much even if I had the money! The best I can do I'm afraid is a BMW Z3 which hardly gets driven!

anyway Joe what you gonna do? i gotta go out at 10pm so let us know

I think I'll have a go at starting a new business - in something I haven't tried before. That should give me the incentive to get stuck in and get the buzz back in my life!
I'll give it a year and see how I fare with a new challenge in front of me as I suspect that is what I'm missing!

Haven't read the therad, but sounds like you need a family with kids.
You've got all these material possesions but nothing to truely leave behind after you die.

I have two kids from when I was married to my now deceased wife! My current partner has no wish for children.

As already suggested why not take up a course in something you find interesting? Or maybe even try a new language? (excuse for a holiday as well ;))

There are seven days in a week and I have four wives. I will take turns visiting them and use the remaining three days to rest

capitalism and conspicuous consumption cant make you happy would seem to fit the OP

People usually need goals of some kind, thats why they do stupid things like climb mount everest which always includes great loss so far as I see.

This is the type of thing that makes lottery winners worse off, they got no challenges left many times. Ironically thats not a good thing

Get one of these, like a giant size jigsaw to keep yourself occupied

LOL I did that last year.. We spent a month touring Italy by train and I had to do a crash course in Italian which went surprisingly well and saw us through most situations.

So to sum up the OP you might as well have basically put you live a fairly normal existence in suburbia and aside from having a wife who is significantly younger than you everything else is rather ordinary.

No you're not crazy to want more tbh...

Are you not paranoid that when you are a pensioner your mid 30's wife will leave you? serious question btw.

Paranoid why?
50% of all marriages and long term relationships end in breakup - most of those will be between couples of a similar age so, best odds are 50/50 with any relationship.
The odds are actually slightly better between couples of different ages.

Statistically, 50% of all those numpties who are posting sarcastic comments on this thread will suffer relationship breakup so, nothing guaranteed.

When I got married, I certainly never suspected that my wife would die prematurely before me and from cancer, but it happened! You can never predict how life will turn out and being paranoid is not going to help!
