How accurate is the freeview hd site? Says my area has no coverage until september

Are any of these dual tuners? That would be the only thing that would get me to upgrade from my Hauppauge Freeview USB stick. Would love to be able to record one thing whilst watching another.

The Blackgold BGT3620 is a dual tuner.

If you want to move from Windows 7 Media centre to MediaPortal, you can record all channels on the same mux with a single tuner simulataneously (if you aren't wrried about hard disk space). The HD channels use the same mux don't they?

Is there much on Freeview HD that would warrant an upgrade from a regular freeview card, or is it still only about 5 HD channels?

Yes there are only a few channels:

BBCHD
BBC One HD
ITVHD
Channel4HD

In 2012 another channel will be added, most likely Channel5 HD.

Yes freeview hd, skyhd and virgin hd are all 1080i. skyhd and freeview hd use mpeg4, virgin uses mpeg2 (worse).

There is only the blackgold and the pctv freeview hd cards available, hauppauge will be releasing a card but there's no details or date yet. Hopefully more competition will arrive to reduce the prices as you can buy a hd box for as little as £40 sometimes.

seems like its a no until September when it gets upgraded from 83W (average) to 1,500W, 18 times stronger.
