Do you tidy your rubbish at KFC/McD's/BK?

Having wored there in my youth, I can tell you I do not. My reason are that the person on the floor known as a lobby assistant has so little work to do that they are normally pulling their hair out with boredom. Picking up some trash and bining it was normally a break for the tedium. We didn't have a dedicated worker for this specific job and it was used as a method of torture in most cases.

I haven't noticed changes for the worse but Tbh I didn't think that was anymore a personal attack than people say questioning Vonhelmet and his parenting in the thread on leaving kids in cars.

So if I RTM all the comments directed at him that he could take personally or be seen as a personal attack will you give them 3 days?

To me it looked like you couldn't put decent reasoning together so used your power to make him go away.

I will RTM similar comments directed at individuals and see if the results are the same, I suspect not.

He might mean that far worse comments go unpunished, but as Lysander's involved a Don it resulted in a suspension. It could seem to border on double standards?

Those who abuse the power of the Ban Hammer should not be allowed to weild the Ban Hammer.

Just an observation.

These are all typical responses.

He was banned for a personal attack and insulting myself. It would have been the same for any other member.

Comments about "worse comments" going unpunished, well their can't be a don in every thread all the time. You all have an RTM button, try using it!

FYI I have banned 2 other people today after reading RTMs and seeing the offenders are not complying with the rules.

Oh and to dannyjo22, I had already said to lysander I accept his opnion and he should accept mine and we can move on but was having none of it and continued to be insulting. Read the posts I'm you will find all the answers above.

In some parts of the world McD/KFC/BK tend to have more staff employed and tend to also prefer to clean the tables themselves and do so quickly

If they are typical responses perhaps there is something in it?

It's a futile argument now anyway.

Not really, there are many moaners and pedantic members on here who will outcry at anything.

Yeah the argument is futile, so why are will still discussing it.

Back on topic. I may go to maccy's today ;)

This thread is pretty ridiculous tbh, personal attacks when there wern't any :s

I can understand peoples opinions but to me its just lazy not to take your tray away given that you are walking out that way.

The cleaners will still be employed because they wipe down the surfaces after.

Fair enough, I shall be RTMing posts where someone says someone is being a "snob, selfish, ignorant and unpleasant" to see if the results are the same.

I suspect not, may as well close the Motors and Football sections now ;)

I accept your reasons and will see if the rules are the same for everyone by RTMing them everytime I see something like that directed at a person. :)

Some laughable opinions in here tbh.

As mentioned before I clean up the table out of a bit of repect and consideration for others. It's the way I was brought up. However calling people scum, flithy little scrotes and hoping they die because they didn't put litter in a tray that other people are paid to do, well...

You have to think about these people that feel taking less than 30 seconds to clean away their own rubbish is an inconvenience and that others should do it for them. While the McDonalds thing is quite a insignificant thing I wonder how many other aspects of their life they also act like that. Where else in their day do they feel that a little bit of consideration nd manners is too much of an inconvenience.

As to pubs and pint glasses, this isn't a fair comparison as someone elses old glasses aren't going to stop you sitting down for a drink. At McDonalds if this happens you are pretty much forced to clean up someone elses mess before you are able to start eating.

The glasses at the bar thing was not meant as a direct comparison to litter on a tray at McDonalds but more of a further example of attitude, having a some consideration for others and treating others like you would like to be treated yourself.

Yes, I wipe any excess crumbs off the table from my meal onto the floor with a napkin (don't know why I do this?) and put my rubbish in the bin :)

Totally agree, some seem to think manners are just in the things you say and not in your actions as well.

I always take my glass back to the bar as well. Unless it's in a busy city center pub where getting to the bar is a 30 minute wait :D
