Do you give your glasses back up at the bar?

If I'm going to get another one from the bar I do but if I'm leaving usually not, unless it's only 1 glass and the bar isn't too far from the door.

Depends on the staff, how busy it is and if I'm going for another one. Generally I will though, always used to appreciate it when I was working in pubs.

There is table service at pretty much every Czech bar so no, however when back in the UK then yes I do.

Completely depends on the place. Not exactly going to try and push my way though 20 people standing at the bar on a busy Friday/Saturday night just to return my glass however If I went in a quiet village pub I would return my glasses on the way out and often say bye if the staff are friendly enough.

That's one of the things I loved about Prague when I visited there a few years ago. The staff would see your empty glass, come over and ask you if you wanted the same again and clear your glasses off the table, only had to get up to pee or leave

Loved it over there.

As for here in the UK, on the rare occasions I go to the pub then I usually take my glasses back when I'm going for another drink.

I don't usually go out of my way to take them back to the bar. There is usually bar staff who come round and collect them anyway.

Yes if I'm going back for another pint, leaving and going past the bar or if its not particularly busy.

No if its rammed or if I'm quite far away from the bar/in a beer garden etc..

If it's a nice pub then yes I always take glasses back and say thanks. If it's just some crowded bar then nah.

I leave my empty glasses wherever I can find any free space just like everyone else.

Although i have a cupboard at home that seems to be full of ones that need returning!

I don't often go in to pubs but yes, I nearly always take the glasses back.

Usually only if the pub is closing and we're one of the groups they are waiting on.

This is mainly due to the staff being quite attentive in the pubs I go to and they usually do glass runs a couple of times a round.

I'm more likely to if:
a. The place is more of a 'local' pub than something like Wetherspoons
b. Fit barmaids
c. Fit barmaids

If they don't whisk the glass away as soon as the last drop has passed my lips, then I'll take the empty back to the bar. I'll usually tell them to use the same glass for my next pint.
