Kids and footballs in the street

The parents probably know already, no doubt they were playing outside their own driveway and got told to bugger off in case they damage their parents cars.

My car is kept in a locked and alarmed garage for this very reason, I don't like my car being in public and the chance for it to be damaged.

So you understand the OP's point of not liking damage to his car but because he hasn't got a garage to put his car any damage cause by kids hitting their ball off of it is ok?

I'll go as far as saying that if you parked your car on your drive and not in a garage then you would be as annoyed as the OP if in his situation seeing as you keep your car "in a locked and alarmed garage for this very reason"

Hypocrite much

Also, to the people that say "move your car" - I find it bizarre that the OP has to move his own car off his own property i.e. his driveway to protect it. If he had it parked on the street then that would be slightly different.

nobody has the right to damage a car ,they should go to a field.

one idea that works is a car alarm than can be set off from your key fob ,just give them a blast every time they get near ,the other residents get annoyed then and may call their brats back in

Did not see the post about his car being on a drive.

Got the same problem myself. Told them numerous times and for a few weeks each time they seem to get the message but then they must suddenly decide the 'rule' no longer applies. I don't mind them playing in the road as long as they keep the football away from our cars, windows and garage door but they don't seem to be able to get that through their skulls.

They like kicking the football as far and high as they can so it usually ends up hitting the roof of the house, or one of the cars or even one of the windows on the house.

The thing that really annoys me about it though is that there's a park literally 100 yards or so up the road. Hardly far away from their houses, but they won't go up to the park to use it for it's intended purpose, they go up there and smash it to bits instead.

Their mum's an alcoholic and has apparently been to rehab numerous times and doesn't really seem to give a crap about anything so the kids don't have any guidance which I can accept as a sort of an excuse to an extent. It's a nice place to live besides the house over the road though.

Of course I can understand but what can he do? In the end the kids got bored and went elsewhere which is exactly what I said would happen.

Kerbie is a classic game :) good on them :D

so they are only playing kerbie i doubt the ball is going to be traveling at enough speed to be doing any damage because if i remember right kerbie involves getting points for bouncing the ball of the other kerb and catching it which is more about control than power.

what type of ball is it? dont tell me its a soft kids ball that couldnt do any damage anyway...

dont you remember being a kid? parks are muddy:p
