If that were true then why are all the serious time attack subarus and evos running very low on great big wheels?![]()
This could quite easily degrade into a semantics related trade off but here goes.
TA cars are more than slightly different to the road cars we are discussing here.
I can't think of a single prominent Evo TA car i've looked at in the last 6 months that is running 19's.
Most run 18's which is 1" over stock on 7-9's (I.e. not a "Great big wheel") and which is the stock wheel size on the X.
It has been debated extensively on the MLR that generally speaking running bigger wheels sacrifices turn in.
I'm not pretending to be an expert but I imagine that given the TA cars run slicks, I imagine that balls to the wall grip from an enlarged contact patch is more important than turn in.
