I was thinking about the upcoming dual core droid phones, even the pick of the previous generation aren't too shabby at mobile gaming. with that in mind what titles would you like to see available on the droid platform ? could be pc / console based but primarily I'm looking at older titles that could be ported across.

I'll kick off with a few

Hogs of War
Kula World (PS1 game)
Marble Madness
Punch Out
Wipeout 2097

As long as these were sensibly priced and well done I think they'd be great fun.

Short term? More cordy levels and a proper co-op mode for gun bros would be good.

Long term. NGP to get a wide range of Android apps making it a proper 5" media tablet or a real playstation phone. (With all those great ps1/2/N64 etc ports :D)

I am hoping Galaxy on Fire 2 gets ported to Android sometime soon. My bro and I were both addicted to Elite on the BBC Micro back in the day and this is in a similar vein. He's been playing it on his iPhone and iPad for months.

I know they're doing an Android version for phones with Targa GPU's, but a version for more bog-standard Android hardware would be ace :)

Meh, most touch screens with any sort of complexity just don't work on phones. Just look at the most successful games and how little you have to interact with the screen: Angry Birds, Peggle, Impossible Game, Doodle Jump etc.

Even on the DesireHD which has the best/biggest screen currently available on smart phones (AFAIK), the likes of the N64 emulator is unusable because of the accuracy you need for most games on the console is unachievable without an analogue stick.

I think the best games on smartphones will continue to be the simple ones specifically developed for the platform, or at least the ones that transfer over extremely well such as Peggle.

I played Kula World using a PSX emulator on my old HD2, game would be lovely if redone specifically for phones :D
