No disrespect, but have you been living under a rock? This is the 6th case Silverstone have done with the rotated motherboard in just over 2 years, so it's not like it's anything new.
Yes, cooling is improved because they use the natural stacking effect of heat rising to cool these cases and get all the heat coming out of the top (which is what confuses me about the Raven 3 - the design totally screws with that principle).
Also there's less strain on your motherboard having the graphic cards positioned vertical like that.
