Anyone seen/heard of these before - I'm quite astounded at how they get away with flogging this stuff. But apparently wearing a rubber band with a magic hologram will improve your 'performance' - what sort of credulous muppets buy these things?

They're also apparently endorsed by top athletes  ....

even amazon is flogging the things:

Fortunately the reviewers have a sense of humour.

I am more worried about the witchcraft that they are promoting.

I have been wearing this now for five months now. During this time the length of my manhood has increased by five (YES FIVE!!!) inches, I can now also find a woman's G-spot, cook better than Gordon Ramsay and have run the 100 meters in 8.4 seconds. I can also turn my head 240 degrees just like an Owl. I have changed from a 5'4", balding, four eyed, pot bellied, weakling with bad breath, to a 6'2" muscular hunk, with a full head of hair, 20:20 vision and a six pack. Thanks to this amazing device I am now the man other men dream to be. Yesterday a man ran out of a luxury car showroom and for no apparent reason gave me the keys to a Ferrari, weeping with joy he dropped to his knees and said, "the God like aura around you has inspired me to reach for the stars, here is is a token of my never-ending gratitude" I just smiled and added it to my collection. I cannot praise this product enough don't delay buy one today!!!

Well, I know that sea-bands definitely work on balance, so why not these.

Not that I have any idea whatsoever what they are....

Last night I went to the park and drank a bottle of Blue Wicked and a Mad Dog 20:20 (Orange flavour BTW), after throwing up I had the lucidity to badly kiss several spotty girls, one with really nice braces, until I later passed out... Thing is next morning I had no hangover whatsoever, so this holographic technology must work.

I'm convinced. :D

I don't know, but then I don't know how sea bands work either, I just know from experience that they do.

Well that's a different subject and tbh.. you don't know that they actually work or simply your belief that they work/might work is causing a placebo effect.

It does sound like a load of rubbish. However, I know a few people that swear by those magnetic bracelets which apparently have no proven possitive effect on wrist injuries...

Since I'm suffering from wrist pains maybe I should try them out :D

Psychosomatic

My GP said Seabands work by pressing down on a specific nerve cluster that counter the effects of motion on the inner ear, or something like that.

What do the powerbands do exactly?

They don't do anything, there was a study done in Condé Nast Traveler magazine (October 1991).
According to This.
But I can't find a direct link to the study.
