Hey, just wondering, what do you prefer, 3D Gaming with the Nvidia 3D vision kit / ATI HD3D or a 3 monitor setup using Eyefinity/Surround :)

The main reason for this is to decide what to go with, ATI for 3 monitors or go for Nvidia for some 3D gaming which I'm tempted by, but 3 monitors sounds awesome, Haha thanks :p

Edit: Hmm... No poll option... Ah well.. Post 'em

why not both? :D

I prefer 3 monitors - you get a load more screen space - 3d is too much of a gimick at the moment.

Haha :D Because I can't SLI Nvidia cards for 3 screens :p Plus that'd be so demanding on the gpu's haha ;)

Awesome thanks guys, I'll wait for a couple more opinions before i decide :)

Sweet :D Thanks Also... Hate to take my own thread off topic.... But to you.. What looks nicer, The MSI 6950 (The white one) or the Asus 6950 (Black & Red), Haha I can't decide Also... is the MSI one metal like the Asus?

depends on what your colour scheme is in your case.
i have the red/black HIS one and it looks really nice and neat. I want to get a custom cooler for it but i dont want to expose the PCB..

Everyones choice will be different here but asking me that question is like asking me
Which do you prefer, a headache or motion sickness. Tho if i was forced I would probably take some motion sickness tablets and go tri monitor.

i'm planning on getting 3d. I just love what it does for the cockpit view in nfs:shift & would love to play shift and fva in 3d not to mention I'm a big ssf4 fan so would love to play the forthcoming AE in 3d too:)

Thanks everyone :) I guess Ill go with the black Card then and go for 3 monitors :D Cheaper for me too seing as I already have 2 exactly the same, although ones being ussed as a tv :p

3D i got the vision kit 3 months ago and tbh it is great , playing batman AA is Amazing you can feel like you can reach into the screen and touch everything !
Arma 2 gives great sence of depth
BFBC2 again great
But i will warn you that if your a fps extremist ie kills count etc , 3d puts you at a disadvantage as aiming is harder , but more life like.
As for comments that the glasses are annoying i dont have a problem , the nvidia ones are amazingly light, and comfy.
having said that i wear safety glasses all day at work , so maybe i am used to it .
Oh and comments that its a pain to set up are pure crap if putting on a pair of glasses pushing one button is a pain then maybe you have a severe problem of cant be assed

Would love to try 3D, but only just recently had to buy monitor and as there were no 27" 3D monitors, have stuck to conventional monitor. Plus the const would be extrotionate for me as I have an ATI card, so would have to get Nvidia and 3D kit :(

Would also love to have tried Eyefinity, but I also game a lot on console, so my console gaming would have been limited to a smaller screen as 3 large monitors would have been out of question :(

Oh well, might consider getting just a Nvidia card and trying the 3D vision discover for 3D on the cheap. That way would only need to change GPU. Or wait and see what the new Samsung monitors bring to the table 3D-wise.

3D for me. I don't have the room for a 3 monitor set up, also the bezels would annoy me :P

I downgraded from a 24" 60hz to a 23" 120hz which was only £170 del. I may get a 27" 1080p when they become cheap enough, but the 23" will satisfy me for now.

3D gaming is nice, I mainly play RTS and MMO. Also being able to watch 3D movies is a bonus too.

3D all the way, it's completely reignited my interest in gaming, it looks stunning. Until Bezel less monitors make an appearance I wouldn't consider multi monitor setups, I'd rather have a large single one for fps.
