Strange Lines and Blurs Radeon HD 5770

Hello All,

I built a new machine at the start of month (details below) and all was fine.

The other day I started to get odd lines, blurs on the screen when moving windows and some tiny dots on images and web pages (image below).

I have checked connections, un-installed and reinstalled the driver making sure I have the latest one from the web. All windows updates installed. I'm now stuck on what to do next. I have Goggled the problem and found nothing of use.

If anyone can point me to the solution I will be every grateful.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit (SP1 installed)
AMD Phenom II X6 Six Core 1055T 2.80GHz (Socket AM3) (Not Over clocked)
XFX ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card
G.Skill RipJawsX 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit Asus M4A78LT-M 760G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache

I would go with a faulty GPU, is it possible to test in another pc.

Not able to test in another machine.

Your motherboard has onboard graphics so try that.

If the problem goes away it's definately something wrong with your graphics card.

In that case I would RMA the GPU.

Have you clocked your card. Un clock it
