5870 vapor x or 6870 hd flex

just wondering if its worth going to the 6870 from the 5870......but am i correct in sayin the 5870 has better performance ...any one have any more info on this thanks.

Just stay with 5870, it's slightly faster than 6870.

Spend bit more and get 6950 instead and unlock it.

why would they bring a card a level up in numbers and its slower than the previous version doesnt make sense does it lol

Numbering system in 6xxx line is confusing yeah.

68xx is mid range.
69xx is high end range.

ahhhh so there messing with our heads lol with numbers ....so to upgrade a 5870 what would you recomend...ati or nvidia not fussed.

To wait until the end of the year when NVidia & ATi release their next series of cards.

Current single gpu cards aren't worth the £100+ upgrade cost for the generally small overall gain in fps imho.

Only exception to that would be a Gtx580 that overclocked very well & you happened to play the games that Nvidia gpu's are quicker in.
