A neat animation that shows the flow of air traffic globally. The animation represents an entire day compressed into 60 seconds.

Yea its pretty mad, people forget that the North Atlantic Route is like a highway with hundreds of airplanes whizzing. Some of the busiest tracks in the world there.

I wonder how many passenger seats are flown every day. I can't get my head around how many people there must be in the world for that many to fly EVERY DAY! :eek:

Pretty eerie seeing hundreds of planes descending on Europe just as dawn breaks!

Easy to see why all goes to pot if an airport closes or there's a natural disaster.
