title says it all really. any advice on cable tidying with this case would be great.
(feel free to ignore the rest of this post, and just post any ideas you have got that might help)

problems i have:
- no way of putting power cables behind motherboard ('ledge' of metal on motherboard back plate stops)
- incredibly small gap between motherboard edges and case edges

ive done my best, and it looks kinda neat, but i still have that 'too many cables' feeling whenever i open it up

Get a better case? ;)

In all seriousness, best bet is to probably try as tie as many of them down at the bottom.

Possibly some kind of bodge Cable store area at the bottom as well?

you have no idea how much i wish i did. not only are the cable tidying options crap, but i cant fit ANY cooler with a 120mm fan (except for the rubbish HTPC one). just checking if the corsair H50 will fit now. i wish i went for the antec 100

as for your other ideas, im pretty much doing that already. i was kind of hoping someone would come in here with a brilliant idea i hadnt thought of to remove the spaghetti at the bottom of my case that connects the front of the case to the mobo, or to remove the massively thick bunch of power cables for the mobo and graphics card ive got in a massive column

I got the same case for my sister's super tight budget PC. I had the same problem as you but I made the best attempt I could to not restrict the airflow:

All leftover cables were shoved into the second drive bay, and I tied down as many cables as I could to the bottom of the case. I also used shorter SATA cables to help lessen the mess.

hmm, doesnt make me feel so bad about my attempt now, considering ive got a massive graphics card in there.

- the ruler is in there because i was asking 5UB if the waterpipes of the H50 would be long enough, because the rad will only fit on the front intake
- the column of cables is sitting on the edge of the case, so it doesnt restrict airflow
- i ran out of cable ties, so i had to use string :(

did you put the mobo power cable through the very small hole in the case that lets you put stuff behind the motherboard? thats where i put my fan power cable?

when i get the H50, i will:
- remove the HDD cage so it will fit (revealing a lot of wire spaghetti :()
- route the mobo power cable behind the DVD drives (thanks for the tip ;))
- move the HDD to the top slot, which will sort out the pesky sata power cable

Reaper you have done a good job to be honest.

Cable management does not necessarily mean the cables cannot be on show, as long they are tidy which they are then that is good. If you can hide them too, then obviously that would be better, but any on show and tidy is still good. :)

thanks. i was just hoping to have something like the pictures in the cases gallery where everything is hidden away. guess thats not gonna happen in this case though
