Two of every animal to be saved via this ark. The rain stops, the floods fall, and it's time for everyone to get out. Ignoring the fact that this would mean every animal would be in a very localised area, what did the animals eat? For example, a lion eats one of the two gazelles that came off the ark. The gazelle is extinct.

And this is not for a deep religious debate, but purely for forming a hypothesis. :p

A lot of the Old Testament is parable.

However, this topic WILL turn into a massive religious fight come page three. So that's the last I have to say on it.

ROFL !

The question first is what and how many animals were onboard the ark?

PS the noah wins because he eats the lion.... we are at the top of the food chain. :P

How did Noah find all the animals. When were still discovering new species every day. Well apart from sunday coz you'll burn in hell if you work sunday's.

Or is it an ancient "Do you want to see some puppy's" line

Yet many people do, including some of my own family. They believe in the literal word of the bible.

Then you want to tell them the story of Gilgamesh, which predates both the Rabbinic and Biblical Noah stories by some margin.

or that of Manu from the Mahabharata, or Deucalion from Greek Myth.

All of which indicate a succession of parables and allegory rather than a literal history.:)
