Things you have a moderate opinion on

I know this goes against every unwritten rule in GD but there must be - oh God, please let there be - one or two of us who just think 'meh' about A Thing. For me it's olives. I don't hate them or even actively dislike them. Equally, I don't think they're the foundation of our civilisation. Sometimes I even almost enjoy them but not frequently and certainly not for a duration of time to form a strong bond with them.

Having said that, if you were to compose a post extolling the gastronomic treats of olives I wouldn't reply 387 times saying how terrible they were. I wouldn't ignore your opinion and post increasingly angry and desperate posts until I ENDED UP TYPING IN CAPITALS WHILST MY HEART ALMOST ASDGHAJKSDAJKH!KP!"*!&**. I might suggest they go well with a seafood salad if you like that type of thing.

So, tell me about moderation GD, let's see if you can do it.

Marmite, if someone brought me a marmite sandwich Id eat it but Id never ask for one.

Similarly I dont understand how people can hate it with such a passion like its the devils poop.

Almost everything. I look at student protests and wonder how they can be arsed getting so worked up about this and that.

I hear that the best discussion are usually about things people don't have strong views about......

To be honest, most of the threads (namely the religious ones) are like that for me now.

I'm so sick of reading/debating the same old tired hash, I've almost forgotten my own stance as a result.

To be quite honest OP, there's far more things in life I'm 'meh' about these days than I actually care or am passionate about. Guess that's just getting older though?

This.

I really should "care" about more. But it's so relaxing, not being bothered about stuff.. :D

Life is a normal distribution curve with how much you like something along the x axis and number of things on the y.

Ha I really like Mat's analogy.

Going out drinking. I enjoy a cheeky night out but I don't do what some seem to do and spend the entire week desperate for the weekend to roll round so that they can get wasted and then complain to everyone on the Internet via Fbook that they are hungover only to do the same next week. (rinse and repeat)

Same here, I often put my lack of caring down to my lack of knowledge of various subjects which I really should know more about. Meh.

The colour of the inside of my kettle, doesn't really bother me one way or another.

What a strange topic.

Same here and I don't care about the limescale anymore. I prefer to be moderate and laid back these days.
