I don't think it's ignorant of me to assume this is the stance adopted by the majority of Muslims resident in the UK. It depresses me that there are still a great many people who'd assume you were in a minority, even moreso to know there are some Muslims who would believe that your stance is somehow more insulting to Islam than the protest or the inspiration for it. Alas, the world is full of morons.

Both sides are extremists and the average muslim WILL denounce them. I remember when they first started off on facebook - praying on the young with hate speech - I fought as much as I could against them to no avail, and so did many other muslims. Problem was the EDL - They were fueling the anger the young had towards them, and 'brainwashed' a number of individuals into thinking they are right.

There is no crusades end of - I despise this group for making the majority of peace loving muslims look bad and I as a muslim will be amongst the first to stand up against them. Frikkin numpties. - I'll go one step further than sending an email - I'll engage in my community (At a local and national level) and ENSURE something is done about this group.

I agree that the media are taking this out of hand using 'sensationlist' headlines - Muslim this, Muslim that - THEY ARE EXTREMISTS and a minority at that aswell amongst the muslim communities - Typical media crap.

as for those of you talking about demolishing a mosque so you can satisfy your need to park your car (is that because your too lazy to walk a couple of hundred yards?) - That shows your dis-respect for others - lol, thats just downright stupid - "I cba parking my car somewhere else - lets demolish a mosque for my obnoxious selfish needs" - :rolleyes: Makes you no different to the rubbish the EDL speal.
