i had a logitech mouse bought in january last year which developed a faulty left mouse button after around 8 months of use , logitech shipped me a new one out now this mouse has also developed a fault with the left mouse button.

the original mouse had a 3 year warranty so am i more than within my rights to contact logitech customer suport and to expect a replacement mouse again? or should i just buy a new one

seems like a pretty common fault seeing as its happened twice after roughly the same amount of time in both cases  , i guess they use cheap micro switchs under the buttons

What mouse was it? I've had a couple of their top of the range mice for 3+years and never developed a fault. Maybe just unlucky unless it was a cheaper model. Even at that however, it shouldn't be breaking after 8 months.

i wonder if you need to rma the rma or they will send out a second rma for the original one

well if you give a mouse a 3year warranty you would expect it to last 3years?
i'd be happy with a discount voucher tbh :)

ill update the thread when i get a reply

first replay is useless...

telling me to disable the "single click to open an item" feature of windows when i had already explained the button will randomly double click its not just within windows its in games etc aswell , i can barely hold the left button down to drag and select multiple items..

i explained i tried different batteries , ive tried it on a different computer ...

i know for a fact its the actual micro switch under the button thats started to fail it would be nice if just once customer suport didnt try to make you jump through hoops and suggest solutions that make no sense or have already been performed with no results...

I'm interested to hear what happens dude. I've had to RMA many Logitech mice in the past. However I've generally had good experiences. Hope it all works well for you but keep us up to date yeah?

my old razor copperhead startin double clicking on the left button. took it apart cleaned the switch up abit an it worked for a few more months then started doing it again. so i got a bought a g500

good news :D
Thank you for contacting Logitech's Customer Care.

As V450 Laser Cordless Mouse for Notebooks is phased out, the replacement mouse that is sent to you is therefore Logitech Wireless Mouse M505 which is the official replacement part for V450.

awesome logitech customer suport strikes again :)
the original mouse was bought in october 2009 and his is the second RMA on that warranty period.
excelent suport like this makes me want to buy a new mouse from them , maybe i should upgrade the mouse i use on my desktop

Received excellent service from Logitech again - one of my keyboard feet broke, emailed to see if I could buy a replacement - they're sending me a new keyboard under warranty! :D
