I might be jumping on a bandwagon in asking this but it is a serious suggestion
There is a fairly popular thread 'trading the stock market' that has diverted away from its original purpose of discussing 'trading'. Various posters now use it to discuss punting small cap stocks, other posters whack charts and news stories in there, the odd poster pops up and asks 'can someone recommend a good broker' other people will pop up with a question on spreadbetting etc... and lots of these posts get ignored as someone else carrys on the previous discussion of whether XYZ is the next big thing.
Essentially, within that one thread there are a whole host of different topics leading to some questions being ignored and a rather muddled thread.
Added to this I've frequently seen questions in GD about mortgages (I posted a question myself), credit cards, bank accounts etc...
Would perhaps be convenient to keep it under one umbrella. The other potential is that if some interesting threads (OcUK does tend to rank highly on google) pop up then you'd attract other people interested in investing/trading to the forums and in turn they'd be introduced to the shop. Given the obsession some amateur day trader types have for hardware and multiple monitors this would likely be a good side effect too.
