Hi guys

Just a postage question.

I need to send my contact pattern to IC Diamond in USA for pressure analysis which some of you have already seen in the IC Diamond testing results thread. It is just a very small paper with almost no weight. IC Diamond was meant to send me a return letter but forgot.

I have been checking Royal Mail for prices and it seems I don't have to pay much with their airmail service and that my letter will be delivered after 5 days.

So assuming the weight of my letter was no more than 80g, then it will cost me only £2.51 to post to USA? Is this right?

Many thanks for any suggestions:cool:

and if it weights 100 grams it will cost £3.19, are you really that cheap that you need to penny pinch that much?

It will be around £2-3 depending on it's weight -.-, man when did GD became a tutorial for life.

Yep, thats right

If you want to be able to track it every step of ther way (if item is important), you could use airsure service.

This will cost about £6-7

Thanks. I have never sent a letter to overseas destinations before so wasn't sure how much it will cost me. Just wanted to double confirm:rolleyes: :p

WTF is a contact pattern?

It's the contact shape that occurs when I install my IFX-14 heatsink on top of my Q6600 CPU. Basically the heatsink is only making contact in the middle and at the edges on the CPU Integrated Heat Spreader (IHS). So the remaining left and right side of CPU IHS makes virtually no contact with IFX-14 heatsink:(

IC Diamond would then present the pressure anaylsis results to see how much pressure my heatsink exerts.

Basically it was also an excellent way of knowing whether my heatsink/cpu need lapping or not and in this case they do.
