An interesting one here.

Just put my new RAM in which is designed to run in XMP mode - BIOS verified that this is applied.

During memtest it is reporting my RAM to be PC3-10600 whereas the RAM is actually PC3-12800. All CAS settings are correct 9-9-9-24 and the RAM is set to 800MHz (which is correct for dual channel (DDR3-1600).

Memtest passed with the new modules btw.

Any ideas what this issue might be?

CPU-Z says PC3-10700H (667MHz) for both as 'Max Bandwidth'.

??

Motherboard is capable of faster - "Support for 1333/1600/1866/2133MHz Memory".

That will just be a CPUZ thing, it says the same on my new vengeance modules, but they are running at 1600 Mhz Cas 9 just fine.

Screenshot shows SPD/XMP settings.. Click on the Memory tab for actual RAM speed.

Remember that XMP is above Jdec specification, so although it shows 667Mhz on the description, it's capable of more as defind by the SPD extention
