Look at the AJS bikes, http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/N...0-ajs-surprises-with-super-cool-customs-125s/ , look unique and nice too. Not sure about parts and reliability but they seem good.
I just bought a Honda Vt shadow today and its a cracking looking bike and is also very big, the biggest 125 I have ever seen!. Dont know how it handels yet because im not 16 till next month but will be practicing on it at the weekend but it sounds good and looks good. Got it for £1750 with Mot till april 13 2011 and tax, full service history and 9500 miles on the clock (2007 model). Very happy with it so far =D
Yeah im 17 on the 22nd of may. I only got the bike becuase it was the only one that was within 10 miles of me rather than 100+ plus it was a good price, perfect condition. Going to to my cbt at the end of the may after my exams. The insurance is only 350-400 dont know about any others but thats dam cheap compared to a car!
Avoid Chinese rubbish like this. It's anecdotal I know but I've never seen a Chinese import that hasn't been a rusty pile of scrap and a guy I shared a parking space with a few years back had nothing polite to say about the build quality or reliability of the AJS cruiser he owned.
Ah, in your post you said you were 15, soon to be 16, which got me worried hah.
Just bought an unloved Shadow VT125 to do-up as a summer project. Nice little bike... i just cant get the ******* luggage rack from under the rear seat >_>_>_>

The VT has the same engine and lots of bits and bobs as the Varadero both good reliable bikes that by the end of the summer assuming you haven't crashed or bought from a dealer will be still worth the same money, a Chinese POS you will have trouble getting rid of for pennies
