**Official Portal 2 Spoiler Thread** - SPOILERS AHOOY

One of my favourite bits of the game was the original Aperture Science facility. The nice thing is, they didn't even give any of that away in the trailers! Came as a complete surprise, very refreshing, and LOTS of fun :D

I loved the humour in that place. There's a place where there are 3 doors for experiments, if you go up to them if told you about the experiments. The only one I can remember though is reducing the amount of water in the human body to about 30% by using flame jets. :p

I'm not looking at any of the posts in this thread, on the off chance that it isn't actually a hoax. The reason I say that is because I'm stuck on level eighteen, and I'm convinced that Valve have made this level, and therefore Portal 2, uncompleteable. :p

So it looks like all this nonsense about Aperture Science being IN the moon and Cave Johnson's conscience stored inside a computer which you fight at the end* was all poppycock!

*Unless he's the baddie at the end of the co-op campaign.

Ah, finally finished - really good game, they deserve a lot of credit. :)

Got stuck in a few places in the later chapters, but pleased to say I managed to figure them out after some time.
The times when I got stuck was usually due to me making it more difficult, and the solution is usually a lot more straightforward than expected.

Oh, did anyone else feel the compulsion to redecorate on the first white gel test?

Stuck!!! :(

I'm on one of the old Apature test rooms. Its one of the first ones that uses the blue gel. Theres a tube dropping blobs of blue gel every few seconds and anothe tube that it dropping water onto the floor, which a switch you can jump to switches off. Obviously you need to turn off the water and then use the blue gel to propel yourself upto the platform with the exit, but for the life of me I cant figure out how.

Turn the water off and propel the blue gel onto the square where the water was falling on to, then jump up.

Opposite the ledge you need to get to there's a portal-able wall, stick a portal on it, turn off the water, stick a portal under the dripping blue paint and bounce up on the paint where it lands.

^^Bah :p

^Hah, that's one of the ones I tried to overcomplicate, with trying to propel myself ceiling to floor and through the angled wall onto the gel, when it turned out to be so much simpler.

Me too, I was stuck there for 20 minutes trying to propel myself on top of the platform, then putting blue gel on the walls, I face palmed when I realised how easy it was.

Oh good lord! How depressingly obvious! Thanks! :s

I was convinved I had to use the gel to bouce up to the upper level, but I kept smacking off the ceiling and couldnt build up enough momentum. I think I'm too sleep deprived to work these out right now. I'm going to bed :)

I was actually trying to bounce all the way up and out the top. Turned out there was an invisible ceiling (i think) which told me i was doing it wrong :p

I spent like 15 mins with the first white gel testing thinking what the hell is this stuff? Didn't know it let you put portals on it!!! :p Plenty of moments spending 20mins or so trying to figure something out then it just clicks... and you can't help but face palm at yourself for not figuring it out sooner -.-

haha :D

I had the opposite problem, took me about 2 mins to figure out that portals could be used on it...easy enough I thought...

Saw the angled panel and thought right I'll teleport off the tower opposite keep place portals as I fall to build up momentum and then get up....was so so so close so kept trying :p

Got frustrated then realised I could use the two larger towers by spraying the white stuff ;) onto it, then from that the opposite and so on and so forth to get enough height.

Lots of facepalm moments in the game, like Chamber 16 the second time round....I couldn't for the life of me work it out at first and just keep looking at the blue waves trying to figure out what the hell to do before I realised I could portal myself to time released blue goop  oops!

Only one i got stuck on was TC11 near the end. With the blue tunnel which pushes you, lazer, and bounce pad.

Couldnt figure out what to do..
