Scariest place you have ever been?

In the middle of the night in pea soup fog I walked through the graveyard in Pluckley, Kent on Halloween one year. It's supposed to be the most haunted village in the country. Didn't see any ghosts though :(

Done that, albeit not on Halloween. Thought I heard a ghost horse whinnying on the road further up the village. Turned out there was a horse sanctuary there we didn't know about. :D

Not exactley the scariest of places but in terms of atmosphere S21 in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia was the worst place I've ever been. Hard to describe, it was probably a physcological thing but I swear I could smell and taste blood.

Truly a horrible and depressing place :(

I think the scariest thing though was taking a tuk tuk to the killing fields, I've never been so scared in my life!

Around 1976 I was going to see my parents in Nigeria but we had to make an emergency landing in Dahome.
We were led off the plane by soldiers holding rifles to our heads and herded into an area where we were told to stay and not move or they would shoot.
After around 4 hours of standing I asked to go to the toilet which was yards away but they refused and pointed a rifle at me.
I kept asking and they kept refusing and pointing their rifles at me but I couldn't take any more so told them I was going to the toilet and they could kill me.
I'm still alive :)
It was then a free for all to the toilets and when all was OK we were led back to the plane with rifles pointing at us.
Every day in Nigeria you would get soldiers or police stopping you and shoving a rifle or gun in your face and you got used to it.

You shold have answered call of nature in front of them:D. That would have been a lessen to them not to bother you again:p

A switchroom when switching on a 3600Amp motor after the soft start had been repaired. That or going down a hill at about 56mph on my road bike and then having to complete a sharp corner.

Meh, I've done that on a Mountain bike on the A417 down the hill from a pub called the Air Balloon.
I was thinking **COOL** speed wobble :D

The problem is that on that hill there is a 30mph limit on part of it, you have to be very aware of cars!

You sure you have the right place. Never seen 30mph in that area. Bottom of the hill is dual carriageway... Will have to see what google street view comes up with.

Never done 30 down or up there either way :D

As I thought. :D
