Jag have launched full details of the facelift to the XF range tonight at the New York Motor Show.

http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/256653/

Major changes include

2.2 Diesel engine with 188bhp 332lbft
8 Speed Auto across range
Front and rear light redesign
New bumpers with D S models having a new body kit
Upgrade stereo across range 400w to 1200w B&W from XJ
HD Based Nav
New steering wheel and instrument cluster
Xenon standard with J shaped DLR lamps

The price of the the higher spec cars has also increased with the basic D S Portfolio (ie no further options not that the portfolio is exactly a basic spec) has been bumped to 49.950.

Will be interested to see one in the metal sometime during June and will probably make a nice upgrade from mine in a couple of years.

The XK has also been facelifted but its not such a major upgrade as applied to the XF and has been seen in the XKR-S which they launched a couple of weeks ago.

Sorted the lights out on the XF now havent they. XK facelift is just a XKR-S basically isnt it as you said.

I like the new lights and the new nose which is a pretty much a replica of the XJ's but to be honest, I really like the front end on mine, which with the black grill and aero pack making a nice combo.

I really wish they would go back to a 4 separate headlight design, to give it some of the older Jag identity, but you cant argue its a good looking car, they have grown on me a lot.

Just looks the same as an XJ now, i think its better but what ever happened to individuality.

Launch video is now up along with the specs and configurator on the Jag UK site. Price rise is quite high with me needing to add £1,500 of options to bring the car back to the current standard spec + £3,000 price rise. With a car spec'd as mine is now I'd be looking at a price of £51K list for it or £54K for a Portfolio with the options I'd want on it.
