What to do off the M6??

Ignore him; Amongst the obvious reasons a) He's Gilly, b) Telford is a fair distance away and c) He's Gilly.
My wife grew up in Leyland. We're always in Worden Park when we go to visit her mum.
And to whoever advocated doing a 260 mile journey in one go... Why would you do that? Why not take a break? It's not advisable for safety reasons to drive for at least 4 hours at a go, and it's certainly not fun.
Big dish, wee visitor's centre. Not much else.
Stop at Lymm.
Lovely village, and you can have a picnic round Lymm Dam.
Come off at J20 and follow the signs for Lymm. Only a few miles off the motorway. Will be a nice way to kill a few hours
