I wonder... Are all Scooby drivers are like this...

Obviously the person the OP is referring to is an extreme. Subarus are now that cheap that anyone and I mean anyone can afford to buy them. They then wreck them and sell them when they can't afford the work they need and maintenance etc. Sad state of affairs but a lot of cars are in these categories these days.

However, nothing wrong with a loud scooby! One of the only cars I could ever justify having such a loud exhaust.

The scoobies were pretty loud at the meet though. :o

Yeah mine is pretty damn loud :D

Mopeds? Hell yes. Motorbikes? no because they sound nice. I don't have a problem with nice engines with proper exhausts, Impreza seems to be needlessly loud and not the nice kind of loud either.

Nothing wrong with a nice sounding Boxer engine...they do have a lovely burble to them...
:)

must be something within the car that turns normal people into complete bell ends.

my old man is in his 50's and went from sensible bmw ownership into the land of scoobies(04 plate whatever shape scoob that is-bugeye????)

first it was a dumpvalve then a stainless exhaust, then a louder stainless exhaust, and now he's on his 3rd progressivley louder exhaust. i'm just hoping he finds a nice 330 clubsport to replace it before he starts burning off the local corsa boys down mcdonalds car park

Didn't you have a barry-ed up Vectra taxi???

Just as BMW drivers aren't all arrogant penises, not all Impreza drivers are like this :p

Mine is neither loud nor have I ever 'raced' anyone in it :)

And I definitely don't look a thing like the Rock ;)

I didnt used to drive my Legacy like a tit, mind you, I had that way back before most people knew who Subaru were, so even if I did I wouldnt be fitting in with anyone else.

There's a big stereotype about wrx owners in my area. Some of the following apply:

- Bad road manners
- their arms hang out the open window
- play terrible disgusting music
- exhaust note is too loud and exceeds sound restrictions
- has seat reclined very far back
- is an idiotic driver
- same some form of plastic cladding in his car

It's pretty common given that scoobys here are very affordable.

the funny thing is as soon as they hit 35, they upgrade to a liberty/legacy/outback and drive like a normal person. Maybe the car changes them :P
