Hi there, really hoping someone can help

I have had a stable system for a while and now am getting blue screens whenever i push my 5970... It's not OC'ed or anything... I'm also getting raphic glitches in games like the maps in Just Cause 2.

I have just bought a SSD now and done a new install of windows with it being the only drive in my system and I did a windows rate and got another BSOD...

It's happened using different version of drivers as well.. could there be something wrong with my graphics card?

i7 930
Asus PT6D Delux
6gb mem
Corsair 850 psu.
and my 5970

Cheers guys

For what its worth my 5970 also started giving me problems the last few days or so . green squares on the desktop and flickering graphics . I tried the usual driver reinstalls etc but it made no difference so I guess its gpu memory related. Seems to be quite a few few people with similar issues.

Sounds like a driver issue. Try booting in safe mode and reverting your GFX driver.

this was happening on two different hard drives, two difference windows installs and about three sets od different drivers

ahhhh welll thats interesting that it all seems to be failing at the same time....

My card is just 12 months old . I did turn up the cpu and ram clocks slightly several months ago but I brought them back down again as I didn't see any great performance gains.
