I'm not a Christian and see no reason to follow Lent.

What's the point in have no meat? Genuine question because I can't think of a reason.

I found it funny today in the Telegraph an article about the Archbishop of Canterbury telling the rich and powerful to give more to the poor, and that it was their duty to do so. Even calling it to be law to do so! Obviously ignoring the fact that it was the Church that has, for many centuries, been one of the most powerful and rich institutions quite happily allowing the poor to toil in poverty while they remain comfortable and wealthy.

Almost at the end of no chocolate or crisps for Lent. Don't actually do it for religious reasons (though my family is Irish and I was baptised a Catholic) - just seems a convenient time to do it, when others are giving up things, like in January I don't drink after all the Christmas gluttony and drunkenness.

I have lost a couple of pounds and feel good that I've managed to achieve it.

I won't be eating meat today (my family are strangely strict on that) - got a nice piece of tuna steak for dinner though so it's all good

Well since I'm currently eating a chorizo cheesy roll, a chicken kebab from last nights BBQ and a peppered steak from last nights BBQ on a cheesy roll then no I don't. Yum yum!
