I've got a car to sell (nissan micra sport 1.6 if anyone is interested!) and before I enter the horrors of ebay I was wondering if there were any other places I could be adversiting it. I've already tried gumtree and putting ads in local shops, but not having much interest.
thanks :)

Pistonheads is rubbish in my experience. Autotrader is about the only worthwhile place followed by ebay. Pistonheads is growing and worth a punt for free, but think about it, how many people outside of car enthusiast circles would even have heard of it?

Autotrader is to selling cars to that which google is to web searches.

Gumtree? Friday-Ad? :)
Tried gumtree, but just submitted a post on friday-ad, thanks :)

Do you reckon I'd have more luck on autotrader than ebay? £10 seems quite a lot for an advert

Autotrader is more than £10? (£41 for the standard advert) But yes autotrader is the best place to sell a car by miles, the userbase is virtually everybody looking to buy a car!

I agree with this.

If I'm selling a supercharged MX-5 on bilsteins with BBS alloys then PistonHeads, if I'm selling a Polo 1.2 (or Micra Sport 1.6) then it's got be autotrader.

Okay thanks, I'll put an ad on there on sunday.

Yes, I have to admit I found it hard to believe that someone who visited a site called "pistonheads" would be interested in a micra! :p
