Advice on a build

I've been doing a lot of reading on the mobo's. A lot of the reviews say the Asus' are better for overclocking. I dunno if that's so true, still undecided on the mobo as yet. May put a bit more money towards it.

Well just to throw another spanner in the works you can get the Gigabyte P67A-UD4 for £150 too :p
EDIT: I did give a link to a thread about P8P67 PRO vs UD4 but it was so old and didn't have any useful info, should've read through it first lol

I'm not too fussed about disk space. I have a server with a couple of terabytes free on it. Most stuff goes on there. I'm tempted by the SSD drive though. Do you guys just dump your OS on there? I'm a big gamer so just wondering if I should get one larger one.

If you want an SSD you could drop the HDD altogether and use your server for media, downgrade the CPU cooler to a Corsair A50[/URL] or something and then wack in a big SSD for OS, apps and games. Maybe something like this:

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor with FREE Operation Flashpoint Red River Game £169.99

Crucial RealSSD C300 128GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Hard Drive (CTFDDAC128MAG-1G1) £167.99

Antec 902 Nine Hundred Two (V3) Ultimate Gaming Case (with USB3.0 Support) - Black £99.98

MSI P67A-C45 Intel P67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION ** £99.98

Corsair Enthusiast Series TX 650W V2 High Performance Power Supply (CMPSU-650TXV2UK) £69.98

Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (CMX4GX3M2A1600C9) £35.99

Corsair A50 High-Performance CPU Cooler (Socket AM2/AM3/LGA775/LGA1155/LGA1156/LGA1366) £27.98

LiteOn IHAS324-32 24x DVD±RW ReWriter SATA - (Black) Retail £19.99

Sub Total : £576.58
Shipping cost assumes delivery to UK Mainland with:

Or if you really wanted 8GB RAM then it would boost it up to £725

Looks a really good build and I appreciate all the help! I'm stuck on the SSD though. I have a 500GB drive now which has loads of space still but my games folder by itself is 100Gb at the moment.

Not sure I want to go back to a time when I have to uninstall games to install new ones all the time! Maybe I'll get an SSD just for the OS and some programs like Photoshop etc. I just did a quick tally of my drives and My OS plus programs take up about 40gb so a 60Gb SSD would suffice.

What you could do then, is take my last build and take out the SSD and if you have the patience to wait, get the Crucial M4, if not get something like the Crucial C300 and then swap the motherboard for the ASUS PRO you specced and up the RAM to the XMS3 8GB and it all comes to £705-720 depending on your patience lol
