Company car choice

I have been looking at my next company car and am thinking if I don't take the cash what to go for next. So far I have had:

Mitsubishi Warrior
BMW 118D SE (current lease car)

Now when the above lease finishes I can either pocket the cash and buy a car or get another lease car.

If I decide to go down a third lease car route I am thinking this time about getting a nice saloon car. A friend at work has a VW Passat CC and it seems rather nice to drive.

So I went onto VW Web site and came across the following:

VW Passat Sport 2.0 TDI 170BHP 6 speed blue motion which gives the following performance figures:


52mpg Urban
68mpg Motorway
61mpg combined

0-60 is also just over 8 seconds. In terms of specs I can get a fully kitted out one within my budget.

has anyone got a vw passat or care to share their thoughts on it?

Dull dull dull, what's your allowance if you buy your own and what are the age and mileage limits ?

350 a month which is 4200 a year and I can top it up if I want. Other option is take the cash and get my own car. But not sure what I want really..

Just get the one that is going to cost you the least tax, but with the most gadgets.

I get my Astra SRI for £44 pounds a month tax.

Did that with my 1 series C02 is so low on it.

Do it again, its a company car, just take the best balance of cheapness versus comfort.
