So who has 11 for the price of 3 holidays and are you being paid for the wedding?

As per thread title.

I have done the whole 11 for the price of 3 holidays, and I am being paid for the wedding bank holiday. I know some companies aren't paying for the wedding bank holiday. Are you being paid?

Strangely enough the first thing I thought was that this would be about a really bizarre deal at Thomas Cook but you had to marry a fatty.

Oh how wrong I was, duh :o
 
You might find a fair few answers in Goliath's thread on this topic. I did take off the days but ended up giving them back as I don't really need the time off now but I do in May so I've just swapped them, also where I'm working now is very heavily involved in the financial year end so it's a bad time of year to be off - I didn't know that I'd be there when I requested the holidays.

However I do get paid for being off on the Royal Wedding.
 
I have booked the 3 days off and get the Royal wedding as a normal paid bank holiday.

I worked yesterday which should hopefully be double time and day off in Lieu.
 
I'm working the wedding bank holiday and as far as I'm aware I don't get that as 'day in the bank' (ie I can use it later) either. It isn't a legal requirement that companies give their employees those days as a day off.

I don't get any of the bank holidays in May off either, though that's because the company has agreed with us employees that we'd prefer to have them at Christmas. I get yesterday and Monday as bank holidays, 1 sometime in June and then 5 around Christmas and New Year so I can have 2 weeks off and it cost me only 2 or 3 holiday days.
 
Easter Monday and Wedding Friday off, working this weekend and other 2 bank hols

We are getting paid for the wedding day

We have a bizarre bank hol payment system

For Bank Hols we DONT work we get double time ( this covers the fact that your rota may fall on a BH )

The ones we do work we get treble time ( 5 times for Christmas and NY day )

Bank holiday rates are also paid from 5pm on the last working day before a bank hol ( normally Friday ) to 9am the day after, so on these double BH weekends the rate goes from 5pm Thurs to 9am Tues
 
Not taking the holidays as I get to take bank holidays when I like but yes getting paid for the royal wedding.

Yep getting paid for all the bank holidays and yep took the 3 days off, as did everyone but about 2 people in the company.
 
Yes, 11 for 3 here and being paid for it :D

Although, it's not going to be very relaxing if the missus drops (due any time now) lol

That is exactly what I thought, albeit without the "fatty" bit.

Yes I am being paid for the Wedding public holiday, no I am not taking the whole week off.
 
Booked it off last year when I heard of the 11 for 3 shenanigans (and I am being paid for the wedding). Shame the mortgage and council tax is due, rendering me penniless!
