I'm a pure grass....

Aye totally wanted a pat on the back. Posted it whilst still drunk so that's what it was.

The guy spoke to me earlier in the night about bikes/where I work but I'm not fussed as I doubt he knew it was me and I don't really care at the end of the day.

It was chambers shifty.

You definitely did a good thing :)

However, I have a question for everyone:
If you saw someone have 3/4 beers with his mates at the pub, the usual kinds of patrons. They cause no trouble and keep themselves to themselves, would you ring the police if you saw them get into a car?

No but if they were being a massive bell at a place I go to often then maybe so. I think I would be more inclined if it was a mother/father out of their face trying to coax their own kids into the car, that would be it for me.

I'm fond of the phrase "give 'em enough rope and they will hang themselves" so the guy that got banged up had it coming to him at some point just alittle earlier then expected

Nice one.

The other weekend I was in the car going to Swanage for the weekend, there was someone driving exactly like they were drunk, swaying all over the road, speeding up and slowing down all the time, dodgy a roundabouts etc etc, everything that makes me think "uh-oh".
Wanted to report them but was driving, and neither of my friends in the car would ring the police for me.
Annoying, I've rung the police about 3 or 4 time for my dad when we've seen dodgy things, drink drivers a couple of times, and once came out of a car park and a guy in a white Transit offered to sell us video cameras "on the cheap".

Probably. Because how would you feel if you later found out they'd killed someone in a crash due to being drunk, knowing you might have been able to stop it.

If he had been having a few drinks over the course of the evening and was acting sober then I wouldn't be so quick to report him and people having a pint over dinner/an hour before driving I don't mind so much.

The fact he was actually out his face annoying people and getting aggressive made the decision easier.

Not sure i'm getting the whole moral high ground thing. Seems like you just rang the Police because he was being a ****. Fair enough if that's what you want to do but don't try and dress it up as 'doing the right thing'.
