games dont install :(

i recently bought a brand new gaming pc, the one problem is... games dont install, as soon as i pop in a game the installer runs but then freezes or closes instantly ive tried this with steam too but nothing works. ive downloaded the latest drivers even did a clean install of windows 7 but still nothing if anyone has a solution it would be much appreciated thanks

do you get popups asking about permission (these may be behind other windows or visible in the strip at the bottom of the windows 7 screen.

use alt tab to check for these

antivirus amy also stop some installs

nope, no popups and i have no idea what antivirus army is but ive tried disabling my firewall as well

Its anti virus *may, plus do you actually have any anti virus installed at all? If not get one and do a scan!

I would suggest just closing whatever virus scanning etc software you have running to completely rule it out. Sounds very much like something isn't giving it permission to run. Could also be firewall related.

yes but ive tried it without i think iot might be something to do with hardware compatibility and drivers

its not your hardware. Get rid of Anti Virus, Restart, Install a game. See what happens?

where are you trying to install the games to, is it the same place as the programs?
Check in computer management (right click my computer and click manage) and look at the windows logs > system and application for errors, and say what the errorsare that correspond to the game installs.

Install all driver updates especially the motherboard chipset; run Windows Updates and update everything - check the 'optional' updates as well. Make sure you have DirectX Runtime, Windows Installer and the .NET Framework fully up to date - once you have, reboot and then try run the installer again and make sure it is run with administrator priviledges - finally, disable UAC!

Should solve it, hopefully.

so far ive got it to work, i did a clean install of win7 and didnt download anti virus and installed steam and it works fine so do games
