they are trucks! No such thing as a "Lorry", well, not from my point of view anyway!

A pickup truck is what the OP mistakenly thinks is a truck. :)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pickup_truck :D

A truck (North American and Australian English) or lorry (British, Commonwealth and Irish English) is a motor vehicle designed to transport cargo.

I didn't realise you weren't a native ;)

I was kind of hoping you'd not spot that....
:o :D

Sorry guys but -

A truck or lorry is a motor vehicle designed to transport cargo. Trucks vary greatly in size, power and configuration, with the smallest being mechanically similar to an automobile. Commercial trucks can be very large and powerful, and may be configured to mount specialized equipment, such as in the case of fire trucks and concrete mixers and suction excavators. Modern trucks are powered by either gasoline or diesel engines, with diesel dominant in commercial applications.

My Navara is a truck.

Andi.

You don't live in America.

Your Navara is not a truck ;)

Do you also fill your truck with gasoline, as per that definition? ;)

Dunno what definition you read but - "1 a wheeled vehicle, in particular:.
a large road vehicle, used for carrying goods, materials, or troops; a lorry."

Making my large road vehicle which is used to carry cargo (rather than people I suspect) a TRUCK.

And no it runs on Diesel fuel.

So a long wheelbase Sprinter, thats a truck as well right? It's an even larger road vehicle used for carring cargo ;)

No no no a sprinter is a van, not a truck, you know that :)

Well no cos it aint got the chunky truck pick up look about it has it, give me that much, am i right?

My truck is still a truck regardless of whether a van might also be a truck. I suppose I could almost call it a Chelsea Tractor, if I don't use it off road and put some small children in the back (or middle) seats.

Andi.

My truck is still a truck

Only in the same way that your neighbours Ford Mondeo has a trunk and a hood and you drop your kids off on the sidewalk when they walk to school. In the UK, the Navara isn't a truck. Even Nissan don't call it a truck - it's just a 4x4 pickup :p

I'm still waiting for you to explain how a Defender is more comfy than a Navara!!!
:D

The seats in the Navara (from experience) they just have no feel to them? you sit on them, not in them, no spring to them...and these were the leather ones (assuming they do a cloth variant?)

However, in the defender, they actually had some bounce to them so you felt yourself sit in the chair, dunno, just felt more comfortable.

Shes got a Mitsubishi Warrior now which is better than both :)
