Hey, Can anyone reccomend some over/on ear headphones which have a decent bass? Cheaper the better tbh, Also.. I like them looking different :p I was thinking Sinhiezer (Spelt wrong but you know what I mean ;)) 220's (The adidas ones :p) seem to be mixed reviews but they seem to have a decent bass. Im no Audiophile and the more powerful the bass the better kind of :) Thanks :D

I know a majority of people are a great hater of Bose for the price, and I know these are a bit expensive but the Bose on ear headphones are quite bassy. You said recommend so I have.

Hope this helps :D

Are you after them for portable use?

The Sony XB700 or XB500 are the bassiest headphones under £100, but they wouldn't be ideal for walking around in.

Sony Extra Bass headphones probably. There are better headphones, but better will cost more. Can't understand why Dokinator has mentioned Bose, when the OP put, the cheaper the better. Yes there are people who like Bose, which is fine. They are certainly not cheap though.

Edit: Beaten to it! :o

Haha, Thanks, IMO I like Bose although they are expencive and I was at PCWorld and they had thise 2 bose headphones which they seem to always have at all shops, and the Music they were playing seemed far from bassy which was annoying :p

Not completley portable but yes, I would wear them whilst walking around sometimes, hence I'd like then to look nice ;)

Haha Awesome, So 2 votes for Sony's I'll check some out then :)

They do look "different" as the super comfy ear cushions make it look like you are wearing a pair of tyres on your head.:D

The XB700 is slightly more refined with better mids and highs and more of an emphasis on the rumbly sub-bass. The cheaper XB500 is slightly more muffled sounding with more emphasis on the punchy bass.

But make no mistake, both are bass-heavy!

haha, Just looking at them now :p But Damn.. They are HUGE! :p In one of the pictures I'm seeing they're as big as the guys hand! :eek:From reviews they seem great though, Anyone know of heaphones on par with this but a tad smaller? ;)

The only other headphone I can recommend that has similar bass to the XB range and isn't too much more pricey is the Denon D1100.

Problem is it is now back at £120 after being on sale for £70 recently at HMV.

Haha, Which Bose's would you reccomend if you did? :D

Oh.. And I take it no one reccomends the 220's I asked about hahha :)

Audio Technica ATH-M50S or Beyer dynamic dt770 pro denon D1100 on this budget the shure srh440 are decent too at around £85 and are probably better than all the above mentioned.I'd go with the current low prices on the denon D1100 seem to be around £90 not £120 at the mo from a quick google.

Any of the Sony extra bass ones, had the 50mm ones but sent them back as the bass was just too overpowering.... i love my in ear sony extra bass ones, were only £25 and sound fantastic

I don't think either the M50 or HD25 provides enough bass considering the OP states "the more powerful the bass the better".

Which is why I suggested the OP demo the M50 before he considers buying them. They were at the top of my list and now I've tried them, I can rule them out.
