Is anybody else watching this on Sky Atlantic? I always wanted to get around to seeing it the first time back in the late 90's when it began, but I never did. I've got a huge interest in all things Mafia related and I love James Gandolfini too so it was a no brainer for me to catch it now that it's being re-run. So far I've watched every week and hugely anticipated the next episode, I'd get the complete box set but I'm too poor at the moment and I'm holding out hope for them to all be released on Blu-Ray. :p

Anybody else watching/watched the entire 6 seasons and what did you think of it? So far I've really enjoyed every episode, I'm on episode 11 of the first season and even though I have thoroughly enjoyed it there have been some episodes that I have felt haven't been quite as strong as others. Oh, and please, please, please no spoilers or no hinting at possible spoilers because I've avoided going onto IMDB or anywhere like that in fear of the whole story being ruined. :)

Oh yeah, Goodfellas is one of my all time favourite movies, I've seen it an obscene amount of times and I've read Wiseguy about 5 times too so it was nice to see a few of the actors from that in this. :)

It's a brilliant series. We started watching it on Atlantic and missed a couple of episodes so I bought the box set. It's nice to watch episodes back-to-back and in your own time.

Excellent show, I can't think of a bad episode - it's all superb.
Pine Barrens being the best episode. :)

Indeed, it's a good show :) Really good in fact!

Now go watch The West Wing :p (seriously, it's the best thing ever made for a televsion show, so brilliant for the first 4 seasons, goes a bit "meh" after that but it's still at least as good as anything else :)

Also, have you seen The Wire? that's worth a watch :)

The West Wing seems like something that would bore me to tears and I don't like 24 and I'm making the assumption that The Wire is quite a similar type of show? :p

My Dad has has started watching it, I am so jealous that he's getting to watch it for the first time in HD :o

Been slowly going though this TV series for months now. xD

Just at the beginning of season 5, great so far.

I envy you for being so far in, the suspense is killing me at one episode per week. :D

The only upside is I get to see each episode at least twice, I really recommend doing so as well because I've learned so much extra info that I missed the first time I watched an episode.

:p

Only standard def here I believe. I always catch it on the Sky Player on 360 as I'm usually busy when it's first on.

It's about the people in the white house and the president, see if you can catch an episode (it will probably confuse you about the political banter :p) but it's just so brilliant, I've never cared so much for characters in a show before.

24, meh, I enjoyed it but it got boring really quickly, each season is the same.

The Wire is brilliant, about Police (more so about the people again much like The West Wing) and well worth catching an episode ( I found it much harder to get in to tbh)

Excellent series.

Furio was my favourite character although he wasn't in very long.

Silvio is a tremendous character too and his real life character was lead guitarist in Bruce Springsteen's band.

Cool, that's really interesting, thanks. :)

The things that make me love The Sopranos - when there's a scene in a graveyard, pay special attention to the names on the graves. Apparently the director had graves made for TV executives who had annoyed him ;)

Will do. :D

New episode (well new to me at least) in three days. With everything that's been going on between Junior and Tony this could be one of the best episodes yet, something's been brewing for like 4 or 5 episodes I can feel it. :p

Rerun of the first season is finished. I missed most of the original run, and struggled to get into it before as I didn't like any of the characters, but I've really enjoyed it this time and am glad I watched all of it. Looking forward to season 2 starting next week!
