When these cards came out, the popular thing to do was buy a 5850 then o/c to 5870 speeds.
But there was quite a price difference then, now with only 20 quid difference I would go for the 5870.
Both should be fine at that res with those games, I know my 5850 coped with Crysis ok.

The 5870 is the best GPU for around £150. Other cards around this price include the GTX 460 and the 6850 & 6870, and it beats them all in pretty much every bench test according to AnandTech. The 5850 is still good in terms of performance per pound, beating the GTX 460 in most tests. Personally, I'd go for the 5870 as it'll last that little bit longer before you need to upgrade it.

I built a rig for a friend about 14-15 months ago with a 5870 and a 550W PSU and he's had no trouble with it. I would say 500W *should* be fine if you don't go overclocking crazy or over stressing it too much with benchies.

A 5870 is often a bit longer than a 5850, so you might want to check your case can accommodate it. If it can., though, that's the option to take.
