Can you change the of stained glass on a door?

Hi all

Does any one know if it possible to change the colour of stained glass on a front door. It's not proper stained glass like in a church but the kind you get on windows on most front doors if that makes sence?

If it is possible how do I go about doing it ?

Take out the pane of glass and install a new one?

I only know of one type and that is where the glass itself is coloured, unless you mean it's using some sort of sticky back plastic?

Sorry for the confusion I'm not explaining my self well.

I think it is fake as on the outside it's clear glass and on the inside it's as if it has been painted?? Some sections frosted some blue some yellow. But I can feel a slight raise where technically the leading would be altho it is not real leading.

Does that make any more sense? I don't want to replace the glass I thought there might be some way I can remove the colour aand paint a new one?
